Fundraising night for fire family

Northeast Valley is making a song and dance about the Singh family.

A fundraising night will be held for the family, who lost their family home
after a fire on Thursday night.

The fundraiser - called the Singh Song Spicy Tuesday - would be held at the
Inch Bar on Tuesday night, owner Jonas Hjertquist said.

''These are hard-working, lovely people,'' he said.

''They really go over and beyond and they are very popular.''

The Sounds Nor'easterly Choir and several bands would perform followed by
an open mike night.

People could give what they wanted and $2 would be donated from every pint
sold, he said.

The Singh's Chambers St house was engulfed by fire just midnight on
Thursday.
