NZOSS AGM

The NZOSS AGM is coming up soon ...
Is anyone able to easily host a physical meeting in Dunedin to accommodate
locals?

Date: Saturday 30 August 2014
Time: 17:30 - 19:00

From 17:30 - 18:30 and we're planning to have meetings in as many
centres as is feasible for people to catch up.

I'll provide details of venues prior to the event - if anyone knows of a
good venue (ideally with a laptop or other computer providing well
isolated mic, speakers, and webcam) in their locality, let me know.

We'll look at using a FOSS video conferencing capability based on the
new WebRTC standards (see http://talky.io using the latest Firefox or
Chromium) to tie us all together.

The AGM itself will run from 18:30 - 19:00, with the following agenda:
1. President's report
2. Council and Executive (Pres and VP) election and appointment of
Secretary and Treasurer roles.
3. Anything else that people want to discuss - let me know (email me
directly)!

After that, we can discuss some of the plans we have for the year to come!

That means that if you have any interest in running for Council (or want
to nominate someone else), please let me or Scott
([email protected]) know beforehand. We'll want to get a brief bio
of each nominee for the benefit of the Full Members of the society who
have voting rights!
