Message: System program problem detected

My computer freezes most days, more than once a day.  Eventually it
gets moving again.  Sometimes I turn it off with the switch, can't
access the menu for correct shutdown/hibernate etc method.  When I
turn it on again I get a box with this message on the desktop, several
of the same repeated.  It makes no difference whether I click cancel
or report, and it gives no hints about the problem it's whinging
about.  Any ideas, please?

Chrome browser, by the way. And Lubuntu.
