Message instead of video: "couldn't load plugin". Me: "What plug-in? You always played nicely for me, what's this crap all of a sudden?" Machine: <dumb insolence> Chromium web browser that came with the distro worked. It played just fine, including TV on demand but with annoying ads which I hadn't had before, not with Chrome or previously with Firefox.
