OFF TOPIC: Open Office New Feature Request

Estimados Co-Listeros,

En un foro de Open Source estábamos discutiendo que le agregaríamos al 
Open Office y propuse unas tres que tuvieron el voto popular por lo que 
las envié a la gente de OO para que las consideren.

En el otro foro se propuso que, quienes estuvieran de acuerdo en agregar 
estas tres "Pequeñas facilidades" (que realmente son muy simples) 
enviaran un correo a [email protected] 
<mailto:[email protected]> indicando en el asunto: "I agree with 
The Wikipedia Connection, The Internet Connection and The Image 
Connection initiative" y cada uno de nosotros se comprometió a 
difundirlo entre la gente que se interesa por el Open Source.

Algo similar se hizo con el tema de abrir solapas en Firefox por 
iniciativa de una gente de Irlanda y lograron demostrar que era de 
"Interés Público" y que era un paso adelante en la democratización del 
software.

Si les parece que puede ayudar aunque sea en algo a mejorar la 
experiencia del usuario de OO, los invito a enviar correos con ese 
asunto a la gente de desarrollo de Open Office.org y a reenviar este correo.

Hi, thanks for your work.   It is changing the world.

This e-mail is to suggest three new features for Open Office:

a) "The Wikipedia Connection"

    Just Alt-Click (or any combination you prefer) over a word or 
marked text and OO will open Wikipedia with the definition (if any) for 
the selection.

    All of us have found words with unknown definition and, this 
feature can join the OO and Wikipedia initiatives to bring the OO users 
the best of Knowledge and the Tools to process it.

b) "The Google Connection" (or ie, if you want)

    Similar to the Wikipedia Connection, but letting the user to select 
a search engine (default Google please) to enable Integrated Content 
Searching features to OO and put the power of Internet in the calc, 
writer or impress application.

c) "The Image Connection"

    Add to "Insert Image" option, the alternativa to browse the web 
directly (Google Images by default) or any other the user can select.

This three features may expand the horizon of OO and will put the power 
of internet in the user´s hands without additional efforts.

I live IN Open Office 9 hours a day and, as a Citizen, I know this tools 
can improve the "Citizen´s Experience"
