Instalando modem HCF

Muy buenas, tengo un problema

Estoy tratando de instalar un modem Conexant PCI en Debian y no he 
podido me sale este mensaje, lo que hice fue instalar unos paquetes de 
Kernel  apt-get install linux-source-2.6.18 para obtener la ruta que 
pide y aun no se puede.

Alguien sabe como hacerlo, es que la ultima vez que toque algo de 
Kernell cuando reinicie no funciono quedo en GRUP y no inicio :( fue feo 
instale de nuevo.
