Mesh computing is a very good idea, but as most of the people involved in
the Taradale Wireless project have directional antennae it could get a
little tricky. If there was some sort of hybrid half-mesh and half
point-to-multipoint system then we would not need to buy new aerials and the
advantages of mesh networking would be there too.

The level set by the MED is approximately 4 Watts for 2.4GHz ISM band, and
I'm fairly certain the wireless network should keep under that quite
nicely.

Finally, yes I do have my ham license but due to the nature of this project,
an amateur radio license is not needed (the project uses a public band).
