My linux software is out of date now (it does what i want it to do on my
old Pentium 3). Newer OS'es tend to run too slow on it.

Anyway a friend has been given a USB 600GB external disk that had been
unplugged during a write. Windows wouldn't look at it. I took it apart
and plugged it into a SATA cord on his box. Then used an old knoppix
disk and QParted on it. I could create a single large linux partition of
almost any type, but it is too large for FAT32.

Newer versions of QParted/GParted handle creating NTFS partitions, does
anyone have a newer Knoppix or live Ubuntu disk i can filch with Qparted
or Gparted on it?
