I think it will not be conflict unless you meant the local LAN is 192.168.1.1-14 instead of 11-14. With the TG585 you can write off the whole 192.168.1.XXX range as 000 to 255 are all relevant to it. > How hard is it for me to effect the change, if I do > decide to go ahead? Also, the one geekzone thread > I could find on the TG585 was positive about Thomson > stuff. Anyone had any experiences to the contrary? No problem on the IPCop box to set a different range. Takes about 30 minutes for a vanilla setup from a fresh install (worst case scenario) if altering the config files is not feasible. If IPCop is already doing DHCP it should not come to that. > Another question for Daniel and Rene: as the TG585 > is also a WAP, as well as having ethernet ports, would > the change solve the present problems I have with > LAN and open WiFi and DHCP issues, given the > computer and printer hooked in, past the WAP? > > > _______________________________________________ > HBLUG mailing list > [email protected] > http://www.linux.net.nz/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hblug
