hello team.

Yesterday I purchased an Acer 5740
                                            
Tested live CD -> Ubuntu 9.10 & 10.4. I don't get past a blank screen, on either version. After some(plenty of) googling) it appears maybe a graphics issue & to alter  xorg.conf. Has anyone had any similar experience or can they recommend a different flavour of Linux I should test.
