off topic Compaq Presario F500 laptop motherboard

My laptop problem turned out to be more major than just the keyboard not 
working properly.  Apparently the motherboard is fried, and I've been 
advised that the part is obsolete, so I can't replace it.

I don't know if anyone knows of a company or individual who might have a 
motherboard lying around, that I can buy?  I've written to HP expressing 
my dissatisfaction, but doubt it'll help :-)
