More Off Topic

I have an acquaintance (my late wife's actually)
who is computer challenged. I went to look
at the thing today and my guess is a serious
hardware problem in the box. It reports
serious problems, even when trying to re-
install XP from a CD. And it makes an
off, cyclic noise, too! However . . . .

Anyone got a working box with (or capable
of ) XP that I can buy and give to them?
With a NIC.
