Have you tried a normal ( not wubi ) install, just booting into the
live CD?

I have down loaded [ Ubuntu LUCID 10.04.1 ] and tested the burnt CD on my old machine and It installs perfectly!

When I try to install VIA [ wubi ] on my NEW Machine [spec's above ] The logo appears on screen and red dots work away. THEN the system just freezes.

ANY assistance would be greatly received, for I am at a loss as what could be going astray.

Thanks Gordon
