I'll go one more than that. Umm - two options.

1. Easiest - try the command line "wget" as an option. It does everything a 
download manager does but can be started as simply as 
"wget ftp://the.web.address"
or
"wget http://the.web.address"

If they give the choice go FTP over HTTP. wget has an automatic resume option 
built in for dropped downloads.

2. More complex - Use bittorrent*. It lets you download from peers (other 
users that have already downloaded). It allows multiple sources 
simultaneously. It allows you to give back to the community by staying 
connected and being a torrent source for others.

* I had a look at the nearest physical mirror and i found no DVD. For that 
matter i found no torrent option on the main website so option 2 seems a 
non-starter.
