Wireless cannot connect to internet

Hi,

I just bought a used Thinkpad T60 and loaded Ubuntu 10.10 on to it.  The
wired connection works but the wireless is turned on but doesn't work.
I might be doing something wrong, not sure but have read on the internet
that 10.10 doesn't do to well with wireless.
