Ages ago, I looked @ Xandros. I still have the OCE iso on my HDD. The need for a pay-for version of "cross-over office" to run windoze programs (not available on Linux) was a deterrent. As far as I can tell from the Xandros web site, that need has been circumvented by their present version. But another impression I gained was that their focus is now more on corporate-level deployment stuff. I sent an e-mail request via their web mail interface; got an auto-acknowledgement immediately; a crashing gale of silence, since then. Some things never change, it seems. _______________________________________________ HBLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.linux.net.nz/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hblug
