Certification
*

*What is Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) and Red Hat Certified Engineer
(RHCE)? *

RHCT and RHCE are performance-based tests that measure actual competency on
live systems. RHCT is the first step in establishing Linux credentials and
is an ideal certification for those transitioning from non-UNIX/Linux
environments. RHCE, called the "crown jewel of Linux certifications," proves
an individual's ability to configure networking services and security on
servers running a Red Hat OS.

RHCE is named the first among the 10 hottest IT certification for
2006<http://www.certcities.com/editorial/features/story.asp?EditorialsID=95>

*What is Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)?*

Red Hat's Enterprise Architect courses provide in-depth, hands-on training
for senior Linux system administrators responsible for the deployment and
management of many systems in large enterprise environments. Red Hat
Certified Architect (RHCA) is a capstone certification to Red Hat Certified
Engineer (RHCE) and Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT), the most
recognized, acclaimed, and matures certifications in the Linux space.
The full RHCA curriculum consists of four advanced 400-level Enterprise
Architect courses and an upper-level security course.

Among our Success Stories

*Opennet MEA opens door for open source in the gulf*

Arabtec, leader in the UAE and one of the top construction companies, takes
advantage of the expertness of Opennet MEA to increase its email service
performance and to maintain its systems on site.
Arabtec's email service was previously hosted and maintained by a
third-party international service provider based in the United States.
Simply sending an email between two adjoining offices at Arabtec involved
sending data all the way to the US to be processed by servers and then sent
back to Arabtec in the United Arab Emirates. Problems with this email
process quickly became evident as the construction company encountered poor
performance, increased costs from unnecessary bandwidth use, reliability and
speed issues, and security concerns over the possible exposure of sensitive
data.
Since installing its first Red Hat Enterprise Linux server in March 2005,
Arabtec has seen reduced costs, recognized at least a five-fold performance
gain, and already experienced approximately 35 percent total cost of
ownership improvement. The company is currently investigating the
possibility of migrating all of its file servers, backup systems, and
desktops to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
*"The OpenNet team convinced us of the reliability and efficiency when
deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux. More importantly, they did a great job
explaining how it would have a direct impact on reducing the total cost of
ownership, allowing us to be able to reinvest, save on other projects, or
even hire more staff ... I am wondering what my IT team will do if we decide
to go for a full migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. I think the IT staff
might have to go do some construction work on site or else they will get
bored"* said Muttia Marwan Al Khayyat, IT manager at Arabtec.
