I talked to David more about this on irc (#morlug @ freenode.net), and
he clarified things.  It would be interesting to hear about mono for
application development in a separate thread.  However, in the meantime
I want to focus on this particular thread ..  The unifying factor in the
choice of Plone and WordPress are that they are both CMS (Content
Management Systems).  There are definite advantages to CMS, however,
there are many out there that may fit Morlugs requirements better.

The site requirements for the wvribfest.com site we will soon build for
SRSH probably can be met well by WordPress because the purpose of this
site is to draw attention to the Rib Fest which is a big donation event
for their organization.  However, Morlug may have different
requirements.  One CMS that has caught my attention is presently used by
the dircproxy project ( http://dircproxy.securiweb.net/ ), and is call
Trac ( http://www.edgewall.com/trac/ ).

What is Trac?

     * An integrated system for managing software projects
     * An enhanced wiki
     * A flexible web-based issue tracker
     * An interface to the Subversion revision control system

It's quite nice as you can observe, and may fit in well if Morlug
decides to maintain projects (text or code); we may even consider
integrating it with a WordPress/Plone site.  I'm interested in other
peoples input about what type of CMS they would like to see being used
by Morlug, or whether they want a CMS at all?
