I'm replying back to the list because I feel this is a great example of
how Morlug and SRSH can both benefit by computer give-a-ways.  If anyone
in Morlug has systems that they feel would benefit Morlug meetings and
the after school programs that use the computer room via donating
hardware to SRSH, then it is highly recommended.

One advantage of donated systems to SRSH is that there could be meetings
devoted to the installation of GNU/Linux, setting up of various
networks, and a variety of other things.  The present machines at SRSH
have Microsoft Windows installed on them, so we basically have to boot
them with live cds or get permission to set-up dual booting.  That
doesn't apply to machines we choose to donate because we may stipulate
our own conditions.

Don't rule out donating systems with limited resources either because we
could set-up LTSP.  Another goal we should consider is the ability to
have hands-on presentation type meetings.  This could become a reality
with donated systems or even with parts to build a centralized LTSP
server - not to mention that this would make a great meeting, itself, as
Morlug members perform their magic.
