Fresh Hoary install onto SATA drive worked flawlessly for me
(Athlon64/nForce3). Also upgraded another machine from Warty to Hoary by
editing my sources.list and doing an apt-get dist-upgrade, worked
without a hiccup. 

In reference to my original message, I'm now a happy Ubuntu convert.
