Re: Wireless network cards

I've just installed Fedora Core 4 on my laptop, hoping that this will
resolve the issue with the wireless network card. However, I still can't
get the Orinoco Gold card (18g/b) recognized by the system. Is there any
standard procedure, gui-based or not, to get this card
recognized/configured?

The output of iwconfig showed:
[root@hp ~]# iwconfig
lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

sit0      no wireless extensions.

Then I did modeprobe orinoco_cs as suggested before, and still
the result is the same:

[root@hp ~]# lsmod | grep orinoco
[root@hp ~]# modprobe orinoco_cs
[root@hp ~]# lsmod | grep orinoco
orinoco_cs             10825  0
orinoco                53965  1 orinoco_cs
hermes                  7233  2 orinoco_cs,orinoco
pcmcia                 29025  6 orinoco_cs,wavelan_cs
