InstallFest Minutes

Sorry for the unpunctual response to minutes, but here you go.


Linux/InstallFest turned out to be a great success. Here's a little bit of
what went down. Introductions were made by the ACM chapter and the fest
began. Ricky Hussman presented a video on dual-booting Linux and Windows on
the projector. Set up in the far right corner of the assembly room was a
table that had some good computers housing Linux of various types. Adjacent
to this was the install table. Mike Bond assisted someone installing a

(with WinXP currently on it) on his laptop. People even brought their
computers to InstallFest for maintenance of their current Linux
system. Jonathon
Rosenbaum assisted a student in fixing his computer. Many people came to
InstallFest to view the different styles of machines. In particularly, a
computer of great interest was a tablet, owned by David Riggs. He was
running Ubuntu on this tablet. Mepis appeared for a little while during the
fest.
 An overall success.
