Perhaps Google could come out with a Android Game Console? Actually
what we are getting close to is a system with a nice UI that can be
used on living room TV's - which may be used to play games, but also
to surf the web, or video chat to a friend. The game console was only
ever a general purpose machine wrapped up to be simple for consumers
to use as a game platform.

Gaming is now mostly online anyway now, and the machines are almost
general purpose PC's internally - so the convergence is almost
complete. Actually, doesn't Google already have something like this in
the works?

All we need now is for them to become sentient.. and it's game on...
