 i'm working on modifying a firefox extension, but am having some 
 problems figuring out some probably trivial issues with assigning and 
 using javascript variables

 can anyone here recommend any resources that would be useful? a mailing 
 list/forum where i might get some help? i'm fairly new to js, so after 
 something for newbs
