This is not the first time that hostingdirects cavalier service has cost me, indeed very much a case of pay peanuts get monkeys. If it was a .nz then you'd have more luck, but the only recourse you really have is going through the disputes tribunal as a standard contract dispute - you paid for service you didn't receive.
