It's not quite automatic but k3b (v 2.0.2 here) seems to do almost what
you want. Looks like will have to set it to create first session via
preferences but for subsequent sessions she could use File -> New
Project -> Continue Multi-Session Project (or easier, add it to a
toolbar), it will now prompt which session to import, add data then
burn. After burning session it will leave the media open for new
sessions. Save data session on exit prompt isn't great but only 1 extra
click.
