That certainly was a key difference when aptitude originally came out,
but my understanding is that apt-get now has the equivalent feature
(not sure if they can share data or not though).

I still prefer aptitude as a single interface for search, install and
info, rather than using different apt- commands for those operations.
It's not a big deal though.
