But how can I show everyone I am actually right if there is no one true way?

Depends on your goal. If you goal is to get along with everyone, you are 
absolutely correct. If you goal is to make everyone think and agree with 
you, then well...

A lot of geeks, pretty much every one I have ever met, myself included 
agrees with your statement in theory. In practice we are all very biased 
and want to do things our way and our way includes trying to get other 
people to do it our way.

I think that the reason this is so prevalent in OSS versus closed 
source, is closed source is ALL about money. OSS is mainly about social 
aspects of freedom and technology. Money came later. Thus it is easier 
for us all to have an ideaology and try to stick to it, regardless if 
most of the ideas are immature and do not contain a relevance to what 
real life really is.
