The ideal tool would be to make sure your distro is easy to update when 
new patches/security updates are needed. By the time your 33 disc distro 
is downloaded, many of those programs will have been updated.

Most of the stuff you're mentioning is easily available to get via 
debian, fedora, etc through things like apt already. So, why all the cds?
