I used to have Slackware 8 on a 133 mhz version of that laptop I believe.
Ended up selling it for $50 because it had no floppy drive and the cd drive
only worked half the time and I didn't really need a laptop at the time. I
had obtained it free anyways. Slackware seemed to run quite nicely although
the 800x600 display resolution was somewhat of a pain in the bum. I wouldn't
recommend running either gnome or kde on it, but Slackware 9.1 plus X and a
light window manager should be quite usable. I really don't remember
anything about the configuration as that was several years ago so I won't be
of any help in actually getting that set up unfortunately...
