I know what you mean. I am restricted to 800 x 600 on my Thinkpad, and 
I'm very used to 1024 x 768.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm planning on using this in the kitchen. It 
will do some web surfing, but will probably be used primarily for an as 
yet to be built AMP recipe system. (I should probably look around for 
ones already done; I can't imagine someone hasn't thought of this 
before!) I won't be developing on it, or trying to do many things at once.

One of the hazards of working with old equipment. However, it was free, 
so I Won't complain.

Do you happen to remember if the internal hard drive is compatible with 
the same drives used in Thinkpads? I have a 4.? Gb hard drive I'm not 
using in my Thinkpad, having replaced it with one in the 12 Gb range a 
couple of years ago. I'll get around to opening up the Micron one of 
these days and having a look. It would be nice to upgrade from 2 Gb to 4.
