With lpq you'll probably get the owner of the job as well in the
listing. If the job owner isn't you then your user won't have
permissions to remove the jobs. However, switching user to root (with
the su - command) will probably do the trick. Try executing:

su -

and then:

lprm

from a terminal command prompt and see if that doesn't do it.
