film scanners

Hi, I'd like to get a scanner for working with film, particularly capable of scanning 120/medium format negs. I know some flat-bed scanners on the market now have some film strip adapters included in the lid. At the moment, I don't think I need the higher rez (and expense) of a dedicated film scanner. Is anybody here scanning film, who can offer some suggestions/recommendations? Of course, gotta be capable of working with Linux/BSD and the gimp. Thanks, Wayne -- Wayne Marshall [email protected]
