Its a computer. If you use linux, you have to Make it work.
That's like saying "its not Jewish friendly" about a cheese doodle. It was 
designed for people. You're a person. Eat.

No biggie.. I'll use 4Mbps/384Kbps for $50/mo, you have fun with dialup.

FYI, they don't make it hard. I've never connected anything but a FreeBSD 
box to my cable modem. When/if a tech comes out and wants to use my windows 
box (yes, I said windows. It's better for some things, so I use it. I like 
good things, no matter who makes them) I just tell them "let me set it up 
real quick.. if it doesn't work, you can plug my windows box in." Lo and 
behold, registering a cable modem through NAT works every time.

Not sure if that's the case with this new system grishnav is talking 
about... but so what? I bet you can make it work, and then reap the 
benefits of 4 Mbps. (5 Mbps if you pay $10/mo more)
