Good question..

Someone needs to write a tool for this. They will be a hero. In that other 
OS there exists tools that can tell you everything about everything on your 
motherboard.

Anyhoo .. you probably want to match latencies/timing/etc if the box is 
that important. Sometimes that info is on the sticker - sometimes not :)
