No wonder, that indeed IS a pretty old machine. Pardon me if I sound offensive, but have you considered upgrading your hardware to more modern specifications? If price is going to be a hindrance to you, there are several vendors who provide more powerful (albeit refurbished, correct me PLUG lurkers if I'm wrogn ;) machines for a reasonable price, such as HMR. But, if that cannot be helped, I have Debian 3.0 "woody" that would work on that Celeron; I assume you have at least 16 MB of RAM ready. Cheers, Zakame -- Zak B.
