i have traced it... am installing an older version of the library....
problem now is how to do this....

checking for LIBDV... configure: error: Package requirements (libdv >=3D 0.=
103)
were not met.
 Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
 installed software in a non-standard prefix.

 Alternatively you may set the LIBDV_CFLAGS and LIBDV_LIBS environment
variables
 to avoid the need to call pkg-config.  See the pkg-config man page for
 more details.
