un monde digitalis=E9.

La pr=E9sentation sera en anglais, mais des questions en fran=E7ais pourr=
ont=20
=EAtre pos=E9es.

While people recognize and will protect their property rights for their=20
homes, cars and other such property, most are unaware of the attacks on=20
the rights associated with information technology.
One of the "justifications" given for such attacks relate to copyright=20
law. Speaking to a group of large copyright holders in 2005, Stewart=20
Baker, US Department of Homeland Security's assistant secretary for=20
policy has this to say:

    It's very important to remember that it's your intellectual property
    -- it's not your computer. And in the pursuit of protection of
    intellectual property, it's important not to defeat or undermine the
    security measures that people need to adopt in these days.

//We have petitions to Canadian parliament, and are doing what we can to =

ensure that parliamentarians know what is at stake. Come out and discuss =

what might be the most important debate in technology law today.

La pr=E9sentation est gratuite et ouverte =E0 tous et toutes.
