Une s=E9ance d'examen pour les certifications du Linux Professional Institu=
te
(LPI) aura lieu le 14 avril 2007 =E0 partir de 14h, =E0 l'occasion de l'ass=
embl=E9e
g=E9n=E9rale annuelle de FACIL, pour l'appropriation collective de l'inform=
atique
libre[1], au Pavillon Th=E9r=E8se Casgrain de l'UQ=C0M, local W-3042 (3e =
=E9tage),
455, Boul. Ren=E9 L=E9vesque est (m=E9tro Berri-UQ=C0M), Montr=E9al, Qu=E9b=
ec.

LPI offre une gamme de certifications Linux d=E9velopp=E9es en collaboratio=
n avec
la communaut=E9 selon un processus rigoureux, ouvert et consultatif. Les
certifications LPI sont ind=E9pendantes des distributions Linux, et cherche=
nt =E0
valider les comp=E9tences qui sont universellement pertinentes pour les
professionnels de Linux.[2]

Les examens disponibles pour la s=E9ance sont LPIC-101, LPIC-102, LPIC-201 =
et
LPIC-202, en fran=E7ais ou en anglais au choix. Pr=E9voir 50$ par examen (a=
rgent
comptant seulement).

Les examens sont offerts sous forme =E9crite (sur papier). Les r=E9sultats =
seront
disponibles 6 semaines apr=E8s la s=E9ance.

Pour vous inscrire, svp =E9crire =E0 [email protected] et sp=E9cifier votre =

d'examen (101, 102, 201 ou 202) ainsi que la langue d=E9sir=E9e. La date li=

Voici ce dont vous aurez besoin d'apporter lors de la s=E9ance d'examen :

  * Un crayon au plomb (pas de stylo)
  * Deux pi=E8ces d'identit=E9 avec photo (permis de conduire, passeport, c=
arte
    d'assurance-maladie, etc)
  * Votre identifiant LPI de 9 chiffres (LPIxxxxxxxxx). Si vous n'avez pas
    encore d'identifiant LPI, vous pouvez en cr=E9er un =E0 l'addresse=20

LPI exam session on Saturday April 14 2007

An exam session for the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) will be held on
April 14 2007 at 14h, as a parallel event of the annual general assembly of
"FACIL, pour l'appropriation collective de l'informatique libre"[1], at the
Th=E9r=E8se Casgrain building of UQ=C0M, room W-3042 (3rd floor), 455, Boul=
=2E Ren=E9
L=E9vesque est (Berri-UQ=C0M metro station), Montreal, Quebec.

LPI offers a range of Linux certifications developed in collaboration with
the community using a rigorous process, open and consultative. The LPI
certifications are independent of Linux distributions, and aim to validate
skills which are universally pertinent for Linux professionals.[2]

The following exams will be available: LPIC-101, LPIC-102, LPIC-201 et
LPIC-202, in either English or French. The fee is 50$ per exam (cash only).

The exams will be in written form (on paper). The results of the exams will
be available 6 weeks after the exam session.

To register yourself, please write to [email protected] and mention the exam
that you would like to pass (101, 102, 201 or 202) as well as the language=
=20
in which you will pass the exam. The deadline to register is Thursday April=
=20
12 2007 at 18h00.

Here is what you will need to bring for the exam session:

 * A lead pencil (not ink).
 * Two identity cards with photo (drivers license, health insurance card,
   passport, etc.)
 * Your 9 digit LPI identifier (LPIxxxxxxxxx). If you do not have your LPI
   identifier, you can create one at the following address:=20

 * 50$ in cash to cover the fee of the exam.
