Who else cares to let the group keep running and is willing to put in some work behind it? I've given 9 years myself, so I'm not volunteering again. Rick has by now likely put in more work than I have, and honestly it's time for someone else to step in (one or several people). Hell, it's actually embarassing that svlug is still relying on the machine I setup in 1999 or so, and some miracle that it hasn't blown up and been exploited into oblivion yet (although grsecurity gets some credit there). If no one does, I think it's then fair to say that SVLUG had it's good years and that it's now time to let it be. Having Rick constantly be on the hook for everything is not fair to him. In other words, what I'm proposing is that if no one steps in here in this thread and puts in the work to take over, I recommend that Rick stops his efforts and that SVLUG just ends here. It's been a good 20 or so years, and it can stop here unless you are interested in making it continue.
