Steve, and others on here, please note that both Linux groups in the
Orlando/Winter Park area, meet monthly!
At the Free Winter Park Linux Install Fest, we host everyone, and some
amateur Radio club members attend with their projects!
Many have created their own Software Driven Radios, using the software
they created in GNU/Linux using Free, Open Source Software.
One such HAM is Chuck, who wrote much of the software for the Ten-Tec
radios, that directly moves to more modern hardware in his own 5 band 50
Watt Transceiver! I am inviting him, and all the members of Lake Monroe
Amateur Radio Society. http://www.lmars.org/
We are also very pleased to host Mr. Ben Miller, who teaches computer
science at UCF, and runs his home server on a Raspberry Pi 3!
