Hi all, For those of you who are DIY types, and for those tired of the sludgy performance of Chromium, Firefox, Palemoon, and qupzilla, this doc shows how to turn the Surf browser offered by Suckless Tools into a heavy duty, high productivity general purpose browser. You can still use the big boys for the few things Surf doesn't do well, but by offloading 90% of the work to Surf, you prevent the big pig browsers from slogging down to a crawl. I'm using Surf for almost everything now, I've set hexchat and claws-mail to use Surf (actually tabbed surf) as their browser, and things are great. I made a document for completely custom-fitting Surf to the way an individual works: http://troubleshooters.com/linux/surf.htm Hope you like it.
