Quoting Rick Moen ([email protected]): > California's registration deadline is 15 calendar days before each > election; in this case, _today_, Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. [...] > My analyses of this ballot, in case people find them useful: > http://linuxmafia.com/~rick/election-2018-11-06.html Er... In case anyone tried that link and found linuxmafia.com offline, the story is: AT&T (which is _not_ my uplink) took my entire residence's ADSL service including my server offline somehow at the beginning of business Tuesday. Late Wednesday, they admitted the fault was at their end (at the Menlo Park telco central office), rather than at the customer end, but didn't fix anything. Today (Thursday) just before 3pm local, they said they moved my DSL handling to a 'different port' (presumably on the DSLAM), and all service resumed. Much thanks to my DSL provider, Raw Bandwidth Communications, whose owner Mike Durkin birddogged AT&T until they fixed their problem. Total downtime was aobut 2 days, 7 hours. (Vive CLECs. À bas les ILECs.) -- Cheers, My favorite website is probably Rick Moen "session timed out due to inactivity" [email protected] -- Matt Watson (@biorhythmist) McQ!
