I've been to a couple of keysigning parties. (Ted T'so might even
have been there. :-) But later, when someone sent me a signed email
and I tried to verify it, that didn't help; I guess your key has to
be on the same keyserver as the other person's key, or something. I
had previously been under the impression that there was supposed to
be a way for different keyservers to talk to each other, but we were
never able to figure out how to bridge that gap and verify each
others' keys. It's probably some simple extra step that nobody
remembers to mention in howtos; I admit I didn't spent a lot of time
on it, and since it was ten years ago I've long since forgotten the
details.
