| From: Lennart Sorensen <lsorense-1wCw9BSqJbv44Nm34jS7GywD8/[email protected]> | I hear openwrt is much more open than the dd-wrt community these days. From <https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=44218> DD-WRT is using closed-source wl driver (they have access to the source, so can compile it against any kernel). I understand that because BrainSlayer has signed NDAs, he can support Broadcom chipsets better than OpenWRT. OpenWRT's (human) organization is much more to my liking so I try to avoid Broadcom chips. It strikes me that <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DD-WRT> seems santized. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:DD-WRT> is worth a look. It includes the phrase "GPL terrorism".
