In case it doesn't reach the list(s) any other way... -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Shropshire] Gwynnedd LUG? Date: Mon, 11 Jan 2010 13:45:15 +0000 From: david <[email protected]> To: SLUG <[email protected]> Hello SLUGgers, Does anyone know if there is a Linux User Group in the Porthmadog, *Gwynnedd* area, where my friend, and former Linux Guru, has died, leaving quite a library of Linux books and 'stuff'. I see from the LUG Listing that there is a North Wales LUG, plus Menai is starting up. Could our Co-ordinator contact them please, and any other likely interested LUGs? In the spirit of Ubuntu Free Shareware, they are free to any Linux user from the area who can collect/meet up with a few of us from the Oswestry area who plan, before 22nd January, to help to clear his flat at a Sheltered Home. If not, it might be possible for them to be brought back to Oswestry, for passing on to Shropshire LUG. Also there, but not free, are 6 bicycles, most of which were quite expensive - including titanium frames et cetera - and some specialist lightweight camping gear. The exact date for our visit is yet to be confirmed, so for anyone looking to add to their 'contents', please let me know a.s.a.p. It is anticipated that the proceeds from any sales will be shared between his 80 year old mother and Hope House Children's Hospice, after covering van hire costs. Best regards, David Bourne.
