The defence in the Kim Dotcom extradition case carefully explains why
the cases of copyright infringement at issue are civil, not criminal
matters, why there is a need for “safe harbour” provisions for ISPs
(and services like Megaupload), and warns against the US Justice
Department trying to shop around NZ law to find more criminal charges
to hit him with.
