Another report highlighting the usual discrepancy in analysis of PC
sales between IDC and Gartner

the difference seems down to the fact that one includes Chromebooks in
their definition of a “PC”, while the other one counts Microsoft
Surface tablets instead.

Obvious conclusion: if it weren’t for Chromebooks, the PC market would
be a pretty gloomy place indeed.
