Interesting. QUIC is a whole new layer-4/5 protocol, separate from TCP.
According to

    sometimes a significant one - in receiving data ... thanks to how
    TCP works ...

    But QUIC is designed with modern mobility in mind and those data
    handovers will be much faster and smoother, meaning uninterrupted

There is a downside: those working behind NAT routers (just about all
of us, nowadays?) are going to have trouble.

On the other hand, maybe this will hasten the move to IPv6?
