new member says hi

Im fairly new to the list and just wanted to ask some questions.

1) is there a jobs list?
2) when and where are meetings?
   -- Is the LUNI an umbrella LUG for the chicago area? or am I mistaken.
3) what is the main focus of luni?

now a little about me.  I have a BS in computer science, I was
born in Chicago and lived there a long time.  I moved to California last
year and work for Vision Solutions on high availability.  I run the UUASC
(Unix Users Association of Southern California) Orange County chapter.  Um
have been in lots of LUGS/JUGS/and several other 3 letter named groups.

I am moving to chicago whenever I can get a job in the downtown area.  My
fiance is starting her phd downtown, and well, I hate long distances to
work.  So if you are hiring in the downtown area of chicago, I love to
here from you.
